Nov 29, 2018Calcagni of Limerick, Pa., passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016. He was 63.Born in Norristown, Pa., Donald was the son of Gertrude (Martinelli) Calcagni and the late Pompelio Calcagni. Donald grew up in the Violetwood section of Levittown, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, and lived the majority of his life in Levittown.In addition to a successful career as a highly skilled craftsman and home painter, he took great pride in his more than 20-year career at the University of Pennsylvania, as the Senior Associate Director, VPUL Facilities.In his spare time, he most enjoyed working on his home, watching and playing football, house shopping with his wife, and spending time with friends and family.Donald is survived by his loving wife, Linda Calcagni; their seven children Donald, Ryan, Colleen, Sherry, Fred, Kim, and Brian; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Smyth of Brooksville, Fla., and Tina Benvenuto of Langhorne; his mother, Gertrude Calcagni of Brooksville, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. Additionally, he is survived by his Violetwood family, especially Bill and Janet Keyser, two of his closest, lifelong friends since childhood. He also is survived by his close friend and colleague, Pete Morgans. Donald is further survived by all his extended family, friends, and colleagues who had the pleasure to know his unparalleled humor, warm friendship, and enduring love.A celebration of Donald's life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford.
